I knoooow lol, I also need to buy shims for the rear as well. would 3* be fine even if I throw the maxtracs on? I raised my driver side CO the other week to level my taco lean out and have been getting driveline vibs since (didnt have em before) im just curious if it will stay or go away with the spindles

I don't know anything about the rear cause mine is stock. I'm sure someone will chime in on it. Im curious about it as well. But I have 16x8 0mm offset and 4.50bs Method NVs and I cleared the caliper. You should be fine.

gotcha, ya im running All Pro 3" Standard leaf pack with Fox Remote Resi 10" Shocks in the rear and couple of the guys in the Florida BS thread were sayin 3* shims would be good, but wasnt sure if that would be the same case if I had spindles up front

thats good to know, I would have been pissed if I had to buy another set of wheels just to run these....I havent even sold my TRD alloys yet lol

$180 shipped already welded? thats not bad at all, especially for something like a shock relocation kit, all youd need to do is just get it welded to the frame and your set

Just to be clear, It costs ABOUT 400$ to get it welded to the frame by an actual fabricator, that should include the proper placement, and removal of your old towers, as well as breaking down the pack and cycling everything properly to ensure full travel.

I wouldn't trust a suspension component to your standard garage fab guy, or your buddy that's got a little mig machine and can put two pieces of metal together. It might look good or seem stout, but do you really want that tower to fly off when you're doing high speed through the desert? Or climbing a rock or something...you know what I mean

Jason(SpeedFreak) in San Diego did mine, and I couldn't be more pleased. I have used and abused my truck since then (lovingly) and have zero complaints.

Wait I take that back, My complaint is that If I was gonna do it over again I would have just gone straight for a LT rear kit :D. But for MT it's puuuuurty nice.

uhhhmmmm I've heard that a few guys who went with the standard pack were unhappy after a bit (especially once the pack fully settled) and had a hair of bro-lean.

When i first installed I was pretty stinkbug, but with about 300 lbs or so of stead weight in the bed i was pretty darn level to the naked eye. I've also heard that you can remove the 3rd leaf which is one of the load bearing leaves, and you *should* drop down a hair and will not require as much weight. I didn't really hear about that until I had already broken in my leaves.
Currently with just a KR fab tiregate hanging off the back and 2 spares (unsure on total weight there) I'm pretty level, but still a bit stiff. I could probably put another 200 lbs back there and be level and smooth

If you haven't installed or scratched that standard pack I bet you could cruise by AP and get an expo pack and just pay the difference.

Chris (NFS) told me he installed his (pre-LT) and then went to Home Depot and bought up a boatload of sandbags to settle out the leaves, then returned them like a week later. Put a good 400-500 lbs back there and they'll setlle out nicely.

Thanks both of you. I havent even picked the leaves up they are are still on order. I can switch to expo pack still... problem is i think ill be ass high by alot! Front end will be maxtracs (4") with a demello plate bumper (110lbs) and new smittybilt xrc-9.5 winch (80lbs) so that will cause at the very least 1" of sag. I dont have coilovers yet but i can set my 5100s at .85 to make up for the weight putting me back around 4" overall gain up front.

The rear has NO weight at all. I dont have a pack rack or bestop or tire gate or rear plate bumper or even a full size spare. Only thing close to the rear will be 100lb sliders. So the standard pack at 3" should sit level once it settles. I think the expo pack will still be too high even after settling since i have no weight amd dont have plans for more weight anytime too soon.

Other issue is im sitting on 32's with about 50% tread on my bfg ATs. The 4" front and 3" rear is already gonna look funny with 32s as it is. So upping to expos at 4" and maybe more preload on the 5100s will look even worse. I think itll be about 1 yr before i get 33" rubber.

Plus i just paid $640 for custom made icon rear resis to match the standard pack perfectly.

Im so confused on what to do. Trying hard to "do it right the first time around" (except the 5100s) but im afraid the AP standards were a bad choice. Considered Dakars at 2.75" but thought it would be way to harsh with no weight and also too low

Don't know if this will help you any but I had the expos on with a 3" spacer before I changed the front & was ass high.
I then did the front with the spindles & 5100's set @ 1.75 & had to add a 1.5" block to level up the rear. So it seems like if I had set the 5100's @ 0 it would've been close to level with just the expos & spindles, maybe just a hair high in front.

Im running the AP standards, only weight I have in the rear is my spare and my toolbox...at first they will sit ass high before they settle. Id say im getting right at 3" of lift, if not a little bit more after they have settled. Im loving them so far, I wouldnt have minded going with the expos, but from what ive heard, they wear out faster than the standards do.

just because you didnt get expos the first time around doesnt mean you "didnt do it right the first time", the leafs are an amazing leaf pack and if it really came down to it, you could throw a 1in block under it to get the rear end level. You also have the weight in the front too, so really see where you are at without any adjustments on your shocks up front with bumper and winch. with that weight and no extra adjustment on the billies, the front should be relatively level with the rear after they settle

Been hearing a lot of popping coming from my suspension the past few days, decided to look at it before going into work and noticed these gaps in the lca. Does this look normal to people or does it look like it needs to be tighten?
    20140501_132948_zpspiurlkxs_56f6a6e8c4665d2b642f681741defa1d375efb82.jpg

Personally to me it looks like I need to tighten the damn things but am not sure. Just trying to get somewhat of a plan for my next day off.
