Uh Oh I think I fudged up

I just bought a set of bilistien shocks off a 2005 TRD tacoma for $40 front and back was planning on replacing my non TRD shocks on my 2012 tacoma.
I bought them befor I read the "fine print"
Come to fing out that the shocks have 105,000 miles on them, Did I just waste my money?

Send a message via AIM to wildjerseyfirefighter
You can send them back for a "refresh"..but at 105,000 miles id just ditch them.

Do they expand by them selves? How much effort does it take to compress them?
It could be a good deal or a $40 lesion.

Bilstein has a lifetime warranty on their shocks. Might be something to look at...

i wouldnt waste your time putting them on if they have over 100k miles on them, yours are brand new, either buy some new shocks like the 5100's or just keep your stock ones on

If you do install them do not expect much. They are not true Bilsteins. Rather, they are built by Bilstein to Toyota specs, no lifetime warranty. If you want true Bilsteins, buy either 4600s or 5100s.

No, Toyota TRD Bilsteins are NOT 4600s. Compare the physical size of them. You will see a big difference in size.
