    The rear OME shocks come with a pack of tidbits, 1 nut, 2 retainers, 1 locator, and 2 cushions. Looking at the picture I get everything except the locator. Do I need it on the tacoma and which way does it go? Concave up? down? Above the top mount on the truck? Below it?

    ARB rocks but it's directions suck! :)

    The washers go concave away from the mount. They cup the rubber.

    It's actually a "cushion locator" according to the package. The retainers are "w" looking washers as views from the side. They are placed above and below both cushions - sort of like {D|D} where "D" represents the cushion and "{" represents a retainer. The "|" would be the part of the frame of the truck the shock attaches to. The Cushion locator apparently goes in between the cushions. But, which way? The directions also say that your truck might have a locator built in.

    Clear as mud? )

    Installed the OME suspension with Dakars yesterday. When taking off the rear shocks, they DID have the cushion locator. It was below the frame mount and installed concave facing downward. So, ========={D]|D}>

    "=" = shock body
    {=retainer
    D=cushion
    ]= cushion isolator
    |=Frame mounting point
    >= Top bolt
