I have cut and plated my cab mounts. Now I need to hammer my pinch weld over. Do I push it over towards the inside or outside?

I did towards the inside but I've also seen a dude make cuts with an angle grinder and a staggered approach. The cutting will keep it easier to pound it back. The higher you go the harder it gets too! If i go 35's ill make cuts and pound it further!
