I love my 5100's don't get wrong, but once I put a front bumper on it my clearance went down a bit. I don't have too much knowledge in shocks and valving, but I am looking for a stronger shock/coil over setup too keep my front end from sagging, yet keep the smooth ride I like about my 5100's.

x2, what coils do you have now and how much lift do you want when you're done? Also, do you have a winch?

Damn, you did the ninja post on me! What setting do you have them on now, .85?

Depending on your budget, sounds like you want OME 886 coils. Another good option would be King and their 700 lb coil. People who have them with bumpers seem to really like them but they are $$. They're also rebuildable so you could get them valved how you want.

That is what my plan is. I do more overlanding and crawling more than desert stuff. I don't need a seperate resi for any of my shocks. I really like fox, just saw some people having problems with rust. I live away from the coast but still that's a potential problem down the road I don't want to encounter.

Not too many people suggest pairing 5100's with OME 886 coils

If you go 886's , you should get OME shocks too

That wasn't my plan. I probably should just find stiffer coils and replace them using my same shock

That too. If you end up with 886's, you should pair them with the Nitrochargers.

If you don't need the performance of a rebuildable shock, then the 886's sound like a good match. They're only slightly heavier than the Eibach coils but a lot taller and built with load carrying in mind. Although Eibachs have a higher spring rate, I'm not sure how well they deal with a heavy plate bumper hanging off the front.

I got my OME 885s from a member that had a TRD AC with Relentless bumper with winch, BudBuilt skids & Relentless sliders. He had them on OME nitros with 1/4" spacers & ran 285/75/16s. He tried the 886s but went back to the 885s because the 886s were too stiff without the ARB bumper & winch.
