Need help putting front shocks back on, not lining up

    So i switched out my front shocks and I can't seem to get them back on. The bottom is not lining up right. It's lined up right in the "left" and "right" direction but I need the shock to go up so I can get the bolt through.

    No matter what I try, I cannot seem to get it lined up. I do have the daystar 2.5 inch spacer on top but it shouldn't make much of a difference, right? ill try and post some pics this afternoon.

    Yea the suspension is at full droop. I feel like it shouldn't be this difficult...

    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    Try disconnecting the sway bar. That will alloy you to push the LCA down further.

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    As mentioned, Push down on the Control arm, and use a screw driver to aid in lining up the hole. Then start the bolt.

    Yep, gonna need to push down. I've used long bars to leverage the LCA down and a spud bar to align the holes.

    Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.
    Prybar between the bottom of the coilover and the LCA. Large pin punch to align the hole. Push bolt through when aligned.
    Oh yea...patience, beer, and NO screwdrivers. They have a tendancy to slip and gouge.

    Alternatively you can draw matchmarks on the LCA cam bolts, then loosen the bolts a little. The LCA will then swing down a bit more. It's easier than prying if you don't have an assistant.

    that's not full droop dude, get the bottle jack and jack the UCA down against the fender well.

    just take off the two upside down bolts holding your spindle to the LCA and then you can push your LCA down til it hits the ground, easiest solution

    it finally worked after using these two methods. i put the coil compressor on the bottom of the shock and the top of the UCA and it gave it enough to line up.

    thanks for your help guys!

    I went through the same thing as the op. Basically had my entire weight on a six foot breaker bar trying to get the bastard in. Never thought about loosening the lca.
