What kit do you have and what shocks are you running for stock location? non stock location?

 

I believe any 10" shock will work in the stock location. It's capable of pulling 15" of travel so a 16" shock strapped to 15" will get er done!

 

10" shock will probably bottom out metal to metal, stock replacement shocks are 15.83" collapsed, while a King 2.5x10" smoothie is 18.375" collapsed. That means the shock will bottom out 2.545" sooner than stock. No Bueno

 

what is the 10" measuring? the stroke of the shock? the body of the shock? what does the OEM shock measure at?

blackhawk - if a king 2.5x10 bottomed out at 18.375, are you taking into consideration the bumpstop?

 

10" measures the travel of the shock ie the stroke.

OEM specs are 15.830" collapsed, 24.290" extended, so 8.46" of travel

Stock spec shocks bottom out after the bump stops strike. If you get longer collapsed length shocks, they may bottom out before you bump stops strike.
