I have had the chance to run many different off road suspensions on my off road truck.
First was the OME setup. Nice stuff.
Next was the Sway-a-Way. Not very good at all. The biggest complaints where real cheap powder coating on the springs, it started blowing off and the springs rusted up really badly. Next was the spring seat collars. They corroded to the shock bodies and made adjusting to compensate for spring sag almost impossible. Lastly, they would slam down badly when I came off of obsticals like stumps and rocks. Many friends running them had repeated seal failures and blown out lower hiems. Just not good quality stuff.
Next was the Donaho Racing (now Icon
). This stuff was absolutely top notch, high quality stuff. Very smooth off road and did not have that harsh slamming down as I came off of obsticals. I highly recommend products from this company.
Finally, I made the move to the Total Chaos long travel setup with Fox coil overs. Like WOW!! Butter off road and plenty of droop to keep the tires gripping.
