Holy crap I see this question asked at least 3 times a day it seems like.

Even though I don't have suspension yet, my vote goes to King.

I just installed kings co up front and fox resi in the back. I didnt know what to expect but it soaked up the trails and CA highway potholes way better than my stock TRD OR suspesion.

I have ran Kings, Fox and Sway-away on my vehicles over the years. They are all close to the same thing if you are buying a regular series shock. If you are just driving your truck as a fun pre-runner it honestly does not matter. Find the best deal

But if you are buying brand new, you might as well go King. ( the quality is guaranteed)
I have the "race series" King coilover on my truck. Which the internal parts are more heavy duty to resist break down from heat/friction and racing long hours.
If you dont have a race series shock, they will all be the same internally overall. And brand wont matter

they're the same...I have both on my truck. Kings take longer to order than fox. Shops like ORW can work on fox shocks, but they have to send King shocks to king if they need work. I live like a mile from an ORW so my vote may be biased...regardless, you wont notice any difference between the two if you're getting the same type of shock
