I am going to level out my 09 Sport long bed. Was going to just get a leveling kit to do it but my buddy said the ride would be better if I got bilstein 5100 shocks. I am leaning towards those but had a few questions. Is it an easy install? I have a mechanic friend who is going to help me. Also should I go ahead and do the back shocks with the 5100? I just want it to look a little more beefier without puttin a lift on it and throwing a ton of money into it.

Just put 300lb sand bags in the back. Instant leveling...cheap as hell too!

If money is an issue, just get the front ones. I'm anal about this matching on cars. So I would get all four. Don't think its that much more for four.

The ride is nices with all four and if u get the bilsteins with an aal you'll be sitting pretty level with a better than stock ride

i have a 2.5" spacer lift on the front and it rides like shit. i would say just get the adjustable 5100's (make sure you get the ride height adjustable ones). you can set the 5100s to 2.5" and less

Ok so I have decided to go with Billstein 5100 shocks with a rear 2" AAL and 265/70r17 goodyear duratrac tires on stock rims. I want a level ride but with a lift. Does anyone know if I can achieve a lifted level ride with those shocks and aal? Thanks for any tips.

with that setup you might have some rake but you should be pretty close, and remember that even if its a little high at the beginning in the back let it settle and it will come down some.....

Thanks, and yea I figured there may be a little rake which is ok but I wouldnt want anything too drastic. My mechanic is gonna put it all on and set the shock at 2.5" with the aal on the rear and see how it looks. If its too crazy of a rake hes gonna just level it out and get a smaller leaf
