New but valid question about lifts

Ok....not enough info that I could find using my phone. Seriously am sorry if there are threads already posted on this topic! My question is what is the quality of ride with a lift. I have stock 3 leafs in the rear on an 07 sport with 45k miles. Billies up front set to .85 with stock sport springs. General grabber 265/75/17 balanced perfectly and front end is aligned and tight. My truck wanders a little bit when hitting the bumps in the road and may be because I run my tires a little tight at 40psi. My truck feels really light. If I step up to ome shocks and springs up front with say LR uca's and go with a Dakar 3" leaf pack with ome shocks...with the truck feel more solid on the ground? I also do not do any heavy crawling or off roading. And is 3" lift enough to run 285's keeping the mudflaps on? I need a reason to keep my nfab steps on! My truck looks like an x runner with A/T tires on it!!

Do you have billies in the rear as well. My truck rode similar to the way you describe with billies in the front only. Once I got the rear installed it really cleaned up the ride.
