3" to 6" Lift

I just purchased everything needed for a 3" lift. All OME to enclude 9000 shocks, 885 coils with 3" spacers, OME shocks in rear to enclude AAL from Toytec. I also purchased LR UCA's. My question is, if I wanted to go to a 6" lift, what would I need to add to what I have already purchased for the 3" lift.

 

That is all you need. Don't get a body lift.

 

No not going with a body lift. I really like the looks of the 6" lift and was just wondering how much more stuff I needed to get to that hight.

 

You want a drop bracket lift or what?

 

Not sure been doing a lot of reading on TW so that is where I'm getting most of my information. I am new to this so I need suggestions. I don't know and have not read about drop bracket. Is that the one to go with considerding what I already have.

 

a 6" lift is a bit of a different setup, and besides looks, it gives you no more performance gain on the trail..It actually reduces it due to the front drop bracket

Im no expert on DB lifts but im not sure you can use the ome stuff with a DB lift (somebody correct me if im wrong) you should check on this thread http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/suspension/43093-fabtech-procomp-6-lift-more-pictures.html ask those guys they'll answer you right lol

For looks def go with fab tech / pro comp 6" (this is drop bracket). From what I read you bought 885s & 3" spacers though

 

where di you get your LT UCA's and how much?

 

Got the LR UCA's from a group buy on TW for $375.00 from Metaltec, free shipping Total=$375.00. I am going to have the OME setup installed I like the 4 to 4 1/2" look also. I don't think the OME even with the 3" spacers will make it but we will see.

 

That 4-4 1/2 inch goal will be tough and if you reach it i bet it will be stiff as shit....

 

I don't see how you can get 4.5" out of the OME. They are struts and not adjustable.

 

Same situation...shop told me that I would have to replace everything...I would stick with 3 inch lift... Just added new wheels and the lft is perfect with it.

 

The OP had said something about having spacers or something IIRC

 

I don't think that is a good idea though.

 

I think he meant having the 1/4 trim pack from OME to get the full 3" out of the lift. You should NEVER install a 3" spacer on an aftermarket strut

 

I agree lol if he wants 4-41/2 he needs to get the RCD lift

 

spindle lift if you're 2wd, imo.

 

I appriciate all who answered my thread. Although I am new to this but old to life, I am going to stick with the OME setup. OME has a 3" spacer that comes with the kit it is used on the 885's and 884's to get a full 3"s of lift. It is optional and costs more if you want to put them on. The leveling spacers come with the kit not optional. Hell at my age I'm gonna be climbing Mt. Everest just to get in the 3" lift. I'll just get some nice wheels and tires and call it a day. Thank's fella's I needed that.
