I just upgraded to 5100s in the front with Eibachs and new coil isolators and I was doing a check on everything today and saw this...

See it on the right side, the isolator is split...

I haven't even offloaded yet, I have just done a few trips to the airport for work.

On the up side, it is yet another reason to go in and change my settings from 0 to .75

Are those factory or aftermarket isolaters/bushings and top plates?

I am running 5100 and eibach as well but just reused my stock pieces.

I aligned the eibach coils to sit where the factory spring left the imprint. Did you do the install or a shop?

wouldnt let that ruin your day... just set them to 2.5 and get an AAL pack for the rear.

Is there a shoulder in the top hat that would keep the spring centered without the isolator? Most coilovers don't use rubber isolators, at the expense of slightly stiffer ride.

They are aftermarket coil isolators from Energy Suspension, I bought them from Toytec, not that it makes a difference where I got them. I did the install, and they are on correctly. The 5100s are set to 0. The top plates are factory with new studs from Wheelers. I did not reuse my factory isolators because they looked pretty bad, and had 100k+ miles on them. That was one of the main reasons I got new 5100s, plut the added lift.

Also already have a AAL in the rear, and I will be putting them at .85 to level it, I had some fear of .85 with eibachs being too high, so I went for the lower 0 setting, and I also feared needing UCAs, something I have no interest in replacing with aftermarket because of the cost.

I plan to replace these with more new ones, and set the 5100s to .85. I will check to see if I saved my old isolators, and if I did, I may just use those, sadly I think I throw them away... And it looks like you cant just bu new ones.

Got in an went back to factory isolators and set my 5100s to .85.

Some pictures of the broken isolator, looks like the sharp edge on the eibachs cut it.
