Help me get a decent 3" lift!

First off, my budget is $1000. I want a decent lift kit that will mostly be used on the street but can handle the occasional off road trails. The link below is what I'm planning on getting (ProComp 3") but I want advice from TW. Links and prices would be helpful. Let me know thanks.

that lift in the link you posted isn't for a tacoma.

look into toytec or ome for quality lifts at a decent price

 

NO PROCOMP........wheelers.com full OME kit (old man emu) with 885 front springs with top plate spacer and trim packer and dakar leaf packs with OME front and rear shocks....and when you get a few extra bucks go to fatbobsgarage.com and get spc LR ucas...those are the best prices on those items and i promise u the best affordable susp that youll never need to upgrade

 

id just go with 5100s and a wheelers AAL. i love mine, have had zero problems. then put some money into some better tires.

you will have to order the top plate spacers from wheelers if you want the full 3" lift

 

Get some maxtrax spindles and all pro leafs call it a day. You can use your stock setup for the spindles. get billies for the rear and be done! Prob under 1k

The $1000 is supposed to cover the kit+labor. Planning on getting 33" BFG or Duratrax tires next year. Anything that doesn't include spacers or a body lift works for me. So far these are good options keep em comin.

Dude there are a ton of folks out there that would help ya out bro. I got good buddies on here that helped me out big time. I was the "light holder" People here love to help. I would help a tacoma brother at the drop of a hat.

 

If you need labor included you are screwed. Probably no choice but 5100 and 3 leaf add a leaf. Looks like you are done looking for parts.

 

Apparently Duratrax tires have a high retention rating meaning that they don't collect rocks and throw them at your truck. Maybe the guy was just trying to sell tires I'm not really sure haha.

 

Yeah looks like this is the cheapest/easiest option. It might be worth it for me to just keep saving up. Or spend the whole grand solely on the lift kit and find a buddy to put it on for cheap instead of paying the shop.

If anyone has a hook up with Fox I'd be willing to pay for one of those kits in the future.

 

Toytec or OME. Although including installation on both of those would put you over 1k.

After weighing out the options it looks like I'm going to say hell with the ProComp and save up for a quality kit like Fox, Camburg, or Icon. Probably way better in the long run.

 

So I ponied up the cash and ended up going with this. When I get more money I'm thinking about upgrading the rear shocks to Fox as well as ordering AAL from Wheelers. Way better than ProCrap
