ReadyLift vs. Coil Spacer

    5100s set at 2.5" Add-A-Leaf in the rear. 285/70r17 Duratracs
    Are there any advantages of one over the other?

    I'm thinking that the coil spacer will increase preload and reduce the downward travel???

    Where the Readylift (spacer on top of the strut plate) will just reposition the strut lower???

    Also, will using the Readylift cause any shock bottoming?

    A "top plate" spacer which sits on the strut plate (which lowers the shock and spring) will destroy your ball joints.

    no. One preloads the spring pack, and keeps the length the same. BUT, gives a more stiff ride. the other thengthens the spring/shock combo, over extending the ball joints when you go over a bump, causeing your ball joints to fail.
