Hey guys, it has been almost 1 year since I have done my TSB. It was good for a while, but after towing my boat more and more (reason I got the TSB), the ride is getting so rough that I can not even use my head rest just driving down the HWY, empty!
When I tow the boat (18ft bayliner) it is really rough and bouncying all over. Wife and kids complaining of it.
I need to fix it somehow.
PS: When I done the TSB they took the TRD yeallow shocks and put some black on in its place in the back.
This is for my 2010 TRD sport 4 doors, long bed.

Thanks in advance for your help!!

If I'm not mistaken since you already had a TRD they shouldnt have swapped out your shocks but should have just installed the leafs.

They didn't touch my shocks when I got the TSB done on my TRD. Wonder why they did that to yours?

X2. I know if you took in a non-TRD model they would swap out all the shocks to the ones that came on the TRD's.

Dakars. Yup! It rides stiff w/o a load in it but rides very nice when loaded. After I broke mine in well for 400 miles weighed down they ride much better unloaded.

They told me that the black shocks were part of the TSB! I truly think I got sucked in a scam where they took my good TRD shock and stalled some shit regular, possible used shock... but that is the problem being a noobe...
I am thinking now in Changing the shocks for Bilsteins 5100 in the back, and thinking in adding a Toytech leaf, for the TSB... so it would be 5 leafs in total. Would love to have the extra 1" but not sure if it will make the ride worst?! What do you think????
    Thanks

Shocks would help with the bouncing......5100s are a good all around shock and way better than the TRD ones too! Could try without the aal at first?

5100s all around, rear tsb, interior LEDs (center console, driver & passenger side floor boards, glove box, under a/c controls, rear cupholders; BHLM; DIY Satoshi
I'll be putting the 5100s front and rear next week. Then, from what I've read on here, I should take the truck to toyota to get the tsb done on the rear leafs after putting the 5100s so I get an alignment done free.

But are you telling me that toyota will swap out my brand new billies?:eek:

Not if you tell them not to.......however, they may talk shit about aftermarket shocks causing the issue???
