I need some shocks for my 97 tacoma. It is stock height and will not be lifted or have a big bumper or winch (Good Lord there are some threads here on suspension, shocks, lifts etc ). Anyway, I found a set of stock (?) Bilsteins on TW: Rear #48530-AD050 Front #48510-AD060 from an 05, that I would be glad to have. Mine currently are #48510-ADO010 on front, deutschtech rear. Doing some research, I have found that the 05 and 97 have nearly the same lengths at compression and extension. Are there other things to consider? Can anyone here validate my thought that these shocks will work on my truck? Thanks to everyone on TW that shares their knowledge and experience! I appreciate it, and maybe one day I can return the favor.

I have it on good authority that the two gens are not compatible in regards to shocks. Next.
