Hey guys, what brings me here today is questions regarding my rear suspension. I have an 08 DC Off-road with 85,000. . I figured the stock non tsb pack is shot with 85 thou.
I am not a big offroader but do have to go off road to hunt, fish, explore etc. I plan on getting a 4-5 thousand pound camper in a couple of months as well.
I plan on getting bilstein 5100's in the front and running them at 1.75. What is a good pack that will keep my rake the same as it is now and improve hauling abilities.

Also, I saw on another thread awhile back some rubber type things that help when weight is applied. They are used on dump trucks and such. I saw that they had some for smaller trucks like tacos.

The Dakar said it is a 3" lift? Am i correct on that. I really am not looking for that much. More like 1 1/2. If that is possible.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
With all due respect to the people that have them.....my local (Big Truck-18 wheeler shop) said what happens to air bags is that over time because they are open to the elements they will dry rot and tear and that the best thing to do (for me anyway) for pay load capacity is to install good (or excellent) quality leaf packs and be done with it. Just my .02 cents.

What im talking about isn't airbags. It was like a hunk of rubber that only gave support when the truck was squatting enough to come into contact.

The leafs consisting in a small lift like you are looking for are not going to do much for what you looking to have them accomplish with the towing/camper scenerio, at least thats my opinion.

I second that. Go with the dakars. They provide approx 3" of lift but it also gives you that extra support with loads and towing.

grow4hobby, send a message to our rear suspension expert here at TW. He is "4WD", he will give you expert advise and maybe build exactly what you are seeking at a modest price.

You could also always call Alcan, they make custom leafs packs to your exact specs. About $600+ shipping for a custom pack.

Doug, 4WD, could also probably help and he will give you great advice if not make you a good pack as well.

Well if three inches is the going rate I think that is going to be a little too much for what im looking for. Im still a little confused about the progressive aal (ex. icon), but i may end up doing something like that. Would I get the desired height im looking for. How much do these increase load capacity in lbs.

    This

    2 1/2 - 2 3/4" lift , you can remove a leaf to reduce the lift amount by 5/8"

I have a cap , not a camper , but yes I came down 5/8" over a year with the constant 300 lb load
