only fronts get spacers and add lift.....the rear is lifted by larger leaf packs or blocks.....the rear shocks ride better than stock though so thats why we get them.;)

Dude , you've been on here for over a year , c'mon , you gotta know this stuff by now

Add a 1/4" top plate spacer to your driver's side of your billy / eibach combo to fix the taco lean .

Rear lift can be acheived with a block ( no ) , AAL ( better ) , or leaf pack replacement ( best )

So does this seem about right? I dont think I want a 1/2" and 3/4" like the guy with the DCLB cuz im just an access cab......but level or slight bit of rake is what im after once I get dakars too.

Ya........so taking that into consideration I feel I can safely put a 1/2" or 3/8" spacer on the driver side to get close to but not go over 3ish" and cause bad cv angles. I'll just do a 1/4 inch on passenger and call it a day.

    Thanks for the help guys.

LOL, this thread makes me feel better. My aftermarket tires only rub on the driver's side, and I was beginning to worry that we screwed up the 5100 install somehow.

So, OP, 1/4" spacer, have you installed it and how does it look? Did you end up needing longer bolts? Would this also explain how, when installibng my sliders, the driver's side slider was rubbing the bottom of the body, and had to be shimmed down 1/4"?

    5 minutes later....

Ordered one! Now I can get the damn spacers out of the sliders, put my mudflaps back on.....and lift my 5100 to the highest notch for good measure. SCORE! You, gentlemen, have made my day.

Remember that the 1/4" spacer will add around 1/2" to the side you put it on. If you put the 1/2" spacer on it will give you 3/4" of lift like the toytec link says it will.

Are most trucks running both spacers then, to get a true 1/4" difference?

If so, can I buy anyone's extra 1/2" spacer off of them?

Im still trying to figure out what spacer Im buying myself too. I have 1/2 lean in the drivers rear and was told the 1/4" spacer will fix that. Im thinking about doing the 1/4 on the passenger and 1/2 on the drivers though to get a tad more lift. The spacer wont effect the truck alignment right? Im just worried about going past the 2.5" in the front and not getting a good one

I have Billies @ .85" with eibachs and a 1/2" spacer on the driver side and 1/4" spacer on the passenger side. It gave me pretty much a full 3" lift up front and no lean.

On my IronMan lift I had to put on the 1/4" spacer to correct it... after I figured out that the majority of my lean came from leaving my sway bar off...

I know this is an almost 7yr old thread, but can the sway bar really affect the “taco lean” ?

It can. The sway bar is there to prevent rolling and uneven driving. Without it on it can make the lean more noticeable, not saying a 1/2" but maybe 1/4" of it was it being off.
