whos got 2nd gen OME with dakars? how much rake?

whats the best 3" lift?...j/k. I'm about to pull the triger on a new suspension setup, OME is one of the choices im leaning towards. so whos running a full OME setup with dakars and how much rake do you have? what springs do you have up front? and do you have the top plate spacer?

i have an access cab 4x4 and my rear leafs are shot (after only 23,000 miles) i do alot of hauling and some towing so i am definatley considering dakars, problem is that i dont want to much rake, and i would like to keep it at or under 2.5 inches of lift in the front. the other option im considering is the icon progressive AAL and adding airbags. i know theres some other options for full leaf packs but there isnt as much info on them here compared to the dakars. any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Ya thats a great thread, i guess i am looking for front measurments more than rear. So do the 885s with no top plate spacer put you at about 2 inches of rake or more?

 

I would think on an AC , you could expect to see close to 3" of lift from the 885's , no top plate spacer , and from the Dakar thread linked above , they seem to be getting about a 3" lift with the Daks

So essentially you would have the factory rake , just approx 3" higher

when you lift the front more than 2.5" aftermarket UCA's are strongly recommended for a proper alignment, light racing UCA's are a popular choice.

 

885's, Top plate spacers, Dakars. I've got about 1" - 1.5" I've got a DBLB though. Looking at it thought, you don't really notice it.

 

I actually want some rake, i feel like thats how a truck is suposed to look. I would just like to stay in that range, 1" - 1.5". 2 inches would even be fine. I was originally thinking about 884s with no spacer and with an access cab that might be to much rake for me

 

The 885's are only 10mm taller than the 884's but have the same spring rate

 

Most aftermarket UCAs will allow for more travel correct? Its tempting to get some extended travel icons or something if i go that route. Still got alot to learn.

Being that I'm in Georgia I wasn't going to spend that kind of money on a UCA that I would never get the full use out of. I went with LR UCA's and have been very happy so far.

 

884's and 885's are the same spring rate , the 885's are 10mm taller than the 884's

886's are slightly taller than the 885's and have a stiffer spring rate , they are designed to allow you to carry a heavy steel aftermarket bumper and a winch

 

not sure about more travel. LR UCAs allow for an additional 2* of camber and 4* of caster.
