Has anyone installed the Zone Off Road 6'' lift on their 2012 yet? Just trying to get some thoughts. I hate the idea of blocks in the back but I'm not really going to be going any off roading and am just looking for something that looks nice. My price range is around $1200 so any alternative suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Does BDS make good kits? I just got my truck 4 months ago and am starting to shop around for lifts. Zone makes a 4" which here in NJ would not require the lift inspection but I figured the 2 inches more would make the truck standout more.

33's will fit with minimal trimming right? I'm looking at 18" Ballistic Jesters.

Suspension replacement really calls for more research than it sounds like you've done so far.

"Looks nice" can be a factor, but you really need to consider other uses of the truck...will you be towing? Hauling loads? Do you want a comfortable ride?

A lot of people half-ass this stuff. Don't be one of them.

Thanks for the advice.. My first truck and I haven't had it that long.. I'll start doing some more research.. The truck is just used as a daily driver and will be towing my 18' boat.. It will rarely see any off road and will primarily haul fishing tackle and maybe some firewood here and there.. It's a truck so not really into a comfortable ride... LOL

If you're towing, you'll want to pay special attention to rear stability after you change up your suspension. If it's a heavy tongue load, Timbren bumpstops or airbags might be a good idea. Same for heavy loads in the bed.

As for ride quality, you'd be surprised what you can do with aftermarket parts. These trucks can be made to ride far better than stock, but it takes expen$ive parts.

Just did the six inch rough country cost me 850 compaired to the zone at 1200 and it is amazing rides and drives like factory damn near perfect. Zone is junk I have been in the suspension world since 16 years old worked for superlift and skyjacker and zone uses very cheap parts in there lift. I'm runnin 325 65 18 copper stt
