okay so I ordered a ebay spacer lift, 3" front, 2" rear with rear shock extensions and diff drop blocks, i plan to run 255/75r17 on stock wheels. I dont offroad much, mostly just getting around job sites and a little trial riding when hunting, I plan on upgrading to a coil over lift and UCA's down the road but for now the spacers are going in. what I want to know is what to look out for with the spacers, what are the common problems?

I would probably say don't jump it haha. Other than that if you aren't a hard core off roader you'll be fine

There are hundreds of taco's running around with spacer lifts on them. Your not gonna die from it. As long as you know what you have a drive it appropriately then who cares. Your truck will be looking good. And here comes the :crapstorm:

im fine with a harsh ride, i just sold a f150 with 37" millitary tires that rode like it didnt have suspension but im not a fan of broken shocks, what causes bent/broken shocks?

as for spending money on something im going to ditch... 2 new vehicles and a new house in the last 4 months after moving accross country means I can afford a spacer lift without the wife complaining, believe me, I normally curse people for not doing it right but this is my option at the moment

spacers severely decrease the ride quality offroad. prepare to feel like you have no suspension at all, I had a spacer lift in the front for a week and removed it because i felt like I downgraded my truck. It was terrible.

The 3" front spacers may require you to go get new UCAs sooner rather than later, unless you dont care how fast your tires ware. You may be fine, but you never know. At the moment there is one GB on LR UCAs (see my signature), and there is another one for Camburg Uni-Balls or Camburg Ball Joint UCAs that is about to start, might want to keep your eye on those, since that is your long term plan.

Okay so after my moment of weakness in ordering the kit I emailed the seller and asked to cancel the order, I'll save and get the set up I really want, I spent a lot of money on the truck, the suspension is no place to be cheap

Okay if I go with a 3" coilover lift with UCA's and AAL rear like camburg, what is the max tire size I can comfortably run on stock 17" TRD wheels?

An AAL isn't a spacer though.

285/70/17. Tires could be close to rubbing the UCA though.

depends on how "comfortable" you are with cutting some plastic or cab mount away.

265s are the biggest toyota says you can go.

275s some people run with no probs.

285s you will prob need to atleast trim a tad of plastic. Maybe more depending on profile of tire and how much you flex it. At 285s you get into the cutting.

    What about a 255/80r17, that's a little over 33" but 10" wide,
