    Yes. You'll get 1.6" with 5100's at 0 and around 2.5" with 5100's set at .85.

x2. That's a short, and generally safe lift. Post up your alignment numbers if you have them. I'm at 1.6" of lift and on stock UCA's. At around 2" of lift and over is when you should start considering new UCA's. There is no need to replace the lower control arm unless you're going long travel or really pushing the truck very hard. Even with a 3" lift, the stock LCA's are fine and generally not replaced. If you like the ride, no need to replace the coils.

Good, I'm feeling better about it then. I'll still post the numbers and maybe try and get a picture of the front end on level ground and see what you guys think. When I first installed them I set it at 2.5 but didn't like the front end higher than the rear so I took it all apart again and set it at 1.75. Very happy with it now. So 1.75 doesn't mean 1.75" of lift?

And sorry Rexel for taking over your thread

    Well, that's out then.

    I dunno. :notsure:

Still curious how you're at 2" though; most people on here seem to get around 1.5" out of these coils, which I'm not too far off from... Meh, just one of those things I guess.

I had the toytec coil over kit and rode in wolfpack's truck^^^ and his rode WAY smoother than mine did. Same springs, same spring rate, basically same truck.

His is set at 0, and mine was set around 3" of lift. If you aren't getting new UCA's i'd set them at 0.

My ride quality improved significantly after I put in more adjustable ucas. Not in that the ride was smoother, but the truck tracked waaay better and the steering just felt more stable

Eibach coils. 5100's all around. AAL. WickedFlow
I ran eibachs and .85 5100's for almost two years an it was great.

    BUT

I just switched to OME 885's 5100's at zero with top plate spacers. I also added Light UCAs...

And I am much happier. CV angle is barely noticeably steeper. Ride is better. handles better. Full 3 inches. Less rake- with 2 inch AAL.

Would have gone this route the first time around but I was impatient and didn't want to spring money for new UCAs.

U should be happy either way tho.

Can't find the alignment print out. I think I might've thrown it away. I'll just take it back this week and have them check the camber again.

I will tell you, I have the 5100s at 1.75 and the alignment is pretty good and in spec when I checked the printout last year, but after a year of driving I can notice that my 265 BFgoodrich ats are not wearing perfectly. The outer tire is scalloping a bit to the point where you can notice. I bought new rims and swapped the walls inside for now, but have Eibachs and LR UCAs that Im putting on. I wouldnt recommend ever NOT using the UCAs if possible, because spending 400 bucks saves your 1000 dollar tires

Under 2" of lift, you'll be fine with stock UCA's and any decent alignment shop shouldn't have any problems getting your camber at 0 and a decent caster number.

they did but the tires still wear a tad off over time. 25 000kms after i put them on they started to notice. Maybe its just the truck to begin with, but my tires are not wearing perfectly

I'm in Canada too (Kamloops)! Just wondering where you purchasing the Eibach springs from? Looked into getting them from a Toyota dealer in Alberta but said that the shipping would be 4-6 weeks! Yikes! Do you have a different source (and maybe cheaper ~ got quote for $204 before shipping and taxes)?

even better if you travel to the states regularly. Save yourself taxes, brokerage and duty(if they are made outside of N.A.) . I also do this. Unfortunately Kamloops isn't exactly hugging the U.S. border.

I'm only about an hour from the boarder but I had gone across to pick up some other stuff....never paid duty, just the taxes at the Canadian boarder. Even after the gas expense I saved alot of money.

Didn't know you could order from Toytec direct and have it shipped to Canada? Just curious and if you don't mind me asking, how much was shipping for you guys? I'm worried about the tax and duty on it being too high, esp. since these are not compact lil' things that could escape from customs. Also, did you guys just get the coil overs or did you guys go for the ones with the threaded collars, thereby adjusting with a wrench to whatever height you wanted?

Unfortunatley if they ship by UPS or FedEX you'll end up paying brokerage fees to get them across the boarder. You should call Toytec and see if they'll ship them USPS.
