3in to 6in lift

Back in December i got a 3in rough country suspension lift put on and now I'm thinking that isn't good enough. I'm wanting to go to a 6in lift now and want some details on one. like say If i go to the 6in lift and for some strange reason i wanted to go back to my fairy setting would it possible? Any down fall to the 6 in lift?

 

cons:
you have to cut off a cross member to install drop bracket lifts
(If you wanted to go back to 3", there's a lot of fab work involved)
with drop bracket lifts, you lose front suspension travel
DB lifts don't gain you any clearance unless you run much larger tires (Dropping the front diff and raising the body still leaves the front diff closer to the ground)
There arent much good skid plates that cover the drop brackets (that I'm aware of)

Look awesome
larger tires with little to no cutting/rubbing involved

Oh, And if you alter the frame, do you think anyone would buy it if you planned on selling it?

for the price of the db, You could get mid travel. Better option IMO.
But if you just want looks, i hate to say it, but spacer. Just don't EVER off road with it.

 

I mean, I LOVE the way 6" lifts look on tacos, especially 2nd gens
But there's a reason there arent many wheelers with db lifts

I don't do that much off roading just like pasture riding and crossing small creeks and such like. To be honest i just want it because if the looks but $2300 is a lot of money for looks not to mention new wheels that i would have to get. But the more trucks i see with the 6in the more i want it. Lol

 

yeah man,for mild offroading like riding dirt roads and whatnot db lifts are fine

 

Do you think $2300 is a decent price?

With the 3in i have now i look at it and can't even tell its lifted. Kinda a bummer!

 

Look into the RCD lift 4.5" IMO it looks perfect with our trucks and allows big tires no cutting.

Also for pros..................DB lifts keep you CV angles in stock form.

 

I'm still new to this lift thing. Could someone please tell me how a rcd lift is different from a pro comp our fabtech 6in lift?

 

maybe just gives you more lift without the bracket not being way down. either way whatever you want it will work i have a 6 inch lift, yes its the worse lift in the world, but being the worst lift ever made, its still does more then 3inch and 4inch lifted trucks, and ive done some serious trails already. But if your going to do a 6 inch lift do it and leave it like that, dont get talked into doing a body lift and crap, cause it just starts looking stupid. anyways choose right
