OK...I just picked up a '12 TRD Off Road. It looks like it has a spacer up front and only 3 leaves in the back. It has 265s on it now. I want to be able to run 285s or so. I hear about all the trimming needed and wheel offset and spacers. Do I need a 6" lift to do it? Or will 3" suffice. Thanks in advance. Just trying to get my build plan in order.

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
Full 3" + trimming + correct backspacing wheels can allow you to run 285's.

3" Lift will cost half the price of a 6" lift... And will provide a better ride quality if you do it right.
