Looking for tips on new suspension set up

I am in the mood to purchase a suspension set up of some sort and am unclear on what to look for.

I am wanting 3-5 inches of lift, would like to stay away from lift blocks, not have to sell my grandmother into slavery to afford it and it would be nice to have quality parts that wont fail me in the mountains. That said, I dont mind paying the extra to buy dependable and reliabe components.

I dont know if I should take to to a shop and buy a kit they sell or if I should buy a kit online or maybe shop around and buy each piece seperatly as I go.

Any help?

go to toyteclifts.com and get yourself one of their ultimate lift kits (good for 3" of lift). they've got great kits there. they're a vendor on here so any questions just pm them here. good luck

i'm running their ultimate lift with billies all around and the dakar leaf pack in the rear. loving it so far. only changes i plan on making will be uca's with a uniball, and maybe a resi-type rear shock to help control the damping.

good luck
