Watts Links type suspension

Hey TW peoples, I've been doing some research for a SAS project I want to do when I get around to saving up enough $$$, been looking at different suspension setups and stuff. I was wondering if the Watts links type is for offroad applications or just mainly for street only vehicles? I've seen a Ford...Explorer I think it was with this (in the rear of course) not lifted though looked stock and I saw somewhere a guy put one on his X-Runner for racing. I'm thinking this is not too ideal of a setup for offroading? I'm not really considering using this setup at all but I just wondered if it was for a certain type of usage or if its all-around ok setup? Thanks!

 

First of all, wrong section... After looking at a Watts link suspension... All I can say is no.

 

If you go to a 3 or 4 link coilover type then yes but with leaf springs no.
