I have a 2012 DCLB 4x4 SR5, stock (3 leaf springs). I want to level the front and maybe get some lift, but don't want to go to UCA's etc. (2" max). It's a daily driver and I don't OR much, so I want to keep the ride nice. This is what I'm thinking after reading a bunch of posts. My current rake is 1-1/2". If I can get the rear TSB done, I'll be at 2" of rake (add 1/2"). For the front, install 5100's @ 0 with OME 884's. This should add 2" to the front and make me level. Another option would be to use OME 883's to add 1-1/2" to the front and keep 1/2" rake (same spring rate). Does this sound correct?
    Other questions:
    - Does the TSB make the ride harsher ("better" is subjective)? I don't haul much.
    - Should I add the front diff drop (heard yes/no/bad).

    Thanks.

Haha at least he wasnt like-i want to lift my truck what should i get?

O.P. i dont blame you for asking, ya im sure you can find some of this info by searching, but by judging by your post you've already read up on all this stuff.
I say no on the diff drop, and i cant tell you much about the tsb because i dont have it, i decided to go with dakars but they arnt installed yet. What i can tell you about the tsb leafs is you cant just walk into the dealership and say i want new leaf springs and they will give them to you, some people are turned down because the dealership determines that the truck does not have a "harsh ride" As far as the front goes it looks like you know what your looking for. For me if i were to leave the back stock i wouldnt want 884s up front because i hate the bro lean. If i were you i would try to get the tsb, maybe look into add a leaf if you dont get the tsb, and get 884s up front, but you may end up over 2 inches

Edit. Didnt see the double cab long bed. 884s should get you 2-2 1/4" from what i have read on here. But if you get 884s you might want to look into OME nitrocharger 90000 shocks because they are valved to be used with these coils, they just arnt adjustable

883's are for the 1st gen taco's not the 2nd gens. I've heard the 5100 ride nice. I went with Old Man Emu full 3" kit. The stock ride was way too soft for me. I think if you got the TSB and went with 5100's with stock springs you may find what you are looking for. I believe the OME 885's will be too stiff for what your looking for. I like them but then again I hated the way the truck drove stock. Yes the TSB will make the rear stiffer to carry a load better. The diff drop doesn't do anything on the 2nd gens.

    Evh5150 chill the hell out.

Just to elaborate for the O.P. 884s and 885s have the same spring rate, 884s are shorter, i think by 10mm

    Edit:
I was curious about the 883s, looks like a few guys do run them on 2nd gens...didnt know this. This is from dan at wheelers:

883s might be a good option for you O.P.

Thanks for the replies. The reason for trying to confirm was that I found different info while digging. Case in point, I read OME 883's are for 1st gen, but they are really the same rate coils, just a 1/2 " shorter than 884's. Might be best to keep a little rake. Yes, I am a newby with no experience in this stuff, but did try to do a little research. :)

If your referring to evh5150's post about searching you dont have to worry about him anymore lol. He did that to like 15 people tonight and got banned for being a dick. You definatley did your research, some people create a account and just start asking questions without doing any research. And i can see asking them to search first but no reason to be an asshole about it. Again good job on the research, alot of people (including me before tonight) think 883s are designed for 1st gens.
