Personally I would trade those spacers for 5100's set at 2.5" and might even get away w/o aftermarket UCA's.

Well if I do go with the 5100s can I keep my stock coils? And stock uca? I'm just thinking 3 inch lift compared to 2.5.. I know nothing big but idk..

So the 3in spacer should be okay?

no. spacers suck, i ran them on my reg cab. alignment will constantly be off, you will go through tires like no tomorrow, AND it will ride like shit. i have 5100s on my DC and they are a million times better. i am running the stock springs, and stock UCA's, and alignment is perfect. why would you buy a 30k dollar truck and lift it with a 60 dollar hockey puck?

my friend has a 3 inch spacer in front and 1 1/2 block in back. rides sand pretty much every weekend and has no complaints. he's gonna put a 6 inch fabtech with coilovers on top of that soon. i actually have 3 or 4 buddies that have the spacer/block lift and haven't had complaints for years.

the middle pic is before the lift. just yesterday he towed out a dodge super diesel that got stuck in the sand...at the same beach the pic was taken.

Will the 5001s lift it as much as the 3in spacer would?

Personally i dont know anyone on my island with 5100s. All the taco's here are jacked up sky high 6"-12". If its looks u want u should just save ur money for a drop bracket. $500 for just a 3" lift aint worth it. In my opinion....3" is just a tease.

I have 3'' spacer and 1 1/2'' spacer in back never had a problem also ran it on my 1st gen for 2 years never had a problem.. Go with a spacer if that's what you want.

dude, alot of people aren't running "lift kits". they are upgrading their suspension to be more functionable off road, but also ride nicer on road. this could mean you get 1.5" of lift, or you get 3.5" of lift. alot of people are not looking to run DB (douchebag) lifts and get 12" out of it, using an 8" spacer on stock struts. a tacoma is more than capable at 3" and will have nicer, better built suspension systems than all of the drop bracket guys out there.

I have 5100's at 2.5" and a 2" AAL I also have UCA's. It rides stiff and I will probably get 885 eventually. I am happy with the setup. If you have to tear you suspension apart and get an alignment do it right the first time. I paid about $450 shipped to my door for 5100's front and rear with the AAL. All I had to do was install and get an alignment so not that bad. After I upgraded my wheels I decided to install the UCA's. Had to pay for a 2nd alignment.

Check my sig.
