885s and 5100s ?s!

After everyone has helped me change my mind a million times I'm gonna go with the 885s and the 5100s set at 0. Now let me pick yours guys brains here! I'm also getting a 1.5 AAL will my double cab sit level? I'm okay with a little Cali lean (front higher than rear) but I don't like when the rear is higher than the front. Also I'm I gonna need diff drop? Uca? And also if your guys have this as your setup pictures will be welcome..on 2nd gens.. THANKS GUYS! Keep in mind I would love to keep my stock uca..

I run the billys and 885 with driver side 1/4 spacer for the taco lean. In the rear i have tsb springs with 1 1/2 AAL. This setup produces a very slight forward rake. Nearly level.

Why am I reading now that 5100s should never be put on with aftermarket coils??

whoever says that is fucked up. RCD makes a lift where they COME with Eibach coils... i am running 5100s set to 2.5" with stock coils, with a wheelers 3 leaf progressive AAl and fox remote resi's in the rear, and think its good enough for what i need.

I run 5100's with 885x's and the ride is awesome on my dclb. With a 1.5" aal (5 leafs altogether), I sit higher in the rear, but I don't have spacers in the front. I also needed new UCA's to get a proper alignment.

UCAs would be a good investment. You will hear others say "I got my alignment in spec with stock UCAs". Just remember that stock alignment specs are based on a stock truck and cover a pretty wide range.

Skip the diff drop, they don't help on 2nd gen (assuming you have a second gen, since that is what you asked for picks of).

I'm about to just run the 5100s with stock coils... I do not want my alignment off nor do I wanna get aftermarket uca's. and I forsure don't want my rear higher than my front

I have a '12 double cab 4x4 v6 with no TSB and a wheelers 3 leaf with overload still in place.

All together I have 6 leafs in the rear including the overload. From my hub to the fender is 23.25 inches in the rear.

In the front I have 5100 at .85 with Eibach/toytech coils. From my hub to the fender is 22.25 in the front.

For just road driving the eibach 5100 is ok, but turn off the pavement and the ride gets real harsh on any washboard like stuff. Bigger hits are great with the stiffer coil but the small stuff is just gross. I read the OME 885 on a billy set at 0 will give me a bit more lift than the eibach at .85 while still retaining some civil ride quality. Is this correct info? I am looking to switch to 885 coils.

Back to the OP, check my pic gallery for images of what an inch lower in the front looks like. With the 885, and considering everything I have read on here about it and the 5100 you should sit pretty close to level. Also, my caster and alignment has been right in the middle of "in spec" every time i've gone in for alignment. I have no wandering on the road at speed, in fact it feels more stable than ever.

5100's set at 1.75" should do the trick.

I think the next setting after 1.75" is 2.5" - which will be the same lift as pairing the 5100's with 885's. This also means a good chance you'll need UCA's.

If you lift more then 1.75 then you should get new uca. Granted i have been running my setup for 10k miles without new ucas with no problem. Truck is alittle lose at highway speeds tho.

Yes 885 are known for have a nice ride. Billys at 2.5" are harsh.
