1st Gen Caster Angle Help (LR UCA)

Just installed 285/75 r16 tires and notice a bit of wandering. Its not excessive but enough that I need it fixed.

First: Current Caster Angle is ~ 2.5 (+) on each wheel. How much is too much for these trucks?

Second: Tech said the Caster alignment bolts need to be re-welded. Anyone have more info on this???

Third: Tires slightly rub on the frame at full lock (1.25" wheel spacers). Is it correct that increasing caster on the upper control arm will shift the tire further back in the wheel well and increasing caster on lower does opposite?

Thanks.
