wanting to lift truck more

I currently have a 3 in pro comp lift with diff drop spindles and struts/springs in front block n add a leaf in rear, i know what to do to acheive more lift in the back but not positive on tje front as to if id have to do away with whats there or what add ons can i do. Also tje truck only has 35,000 miles on it and thefront diff bearings n seals are already going out with little trail riding. Any ideas on why they wore so fast?

If you want to lift the rear more, get a replacement leaf pack and lose the blocks. All Pro makes a couple good replacement leaf packs, there's the OME Dakar pack and Wheelers sells a couple options as well depending on how much lift you want.

For the front, when you lift the truck, you put the front shafts at a more extreme angle which wears out parts quicker. Could just be bad luck, who knows why they wore out so quickly.

How do you like the pro comp 3 inch? And is it the suspension lift with coils or just spacers?

Appreciate the info on the rear ive been around 4 wd's my whole life but I dont have to much experience with the new model stuff or Toyotas in general, But i do know several people with ifs and lifts and alot more lift than 3inches that do alot of mudding and no probs that fast. But like you said it could all jist be bad luck.Do they offer those packages to go with a vehicle thats already lifted? Bit yea it shocked me that the frsont diff seals and bearings on the axles are already goin out so soon i bought the truck used wit 24k on it had it for aboit a year and only has 34ish on it now. Tue lift was already on it and the giy i bought the truck had already done every thing that done to it. dlooney its alright ive read a lil bit about other peoples builds and have 3 inch lifts w/o a diff drop and have more ground clearance than i have. All im able to clear is a set of 33s but for some reason the sway bar rubs on the right side, ive priced this kit on pro comps website and it runs like 3grand from what i remember for the money i dont exactly think it was worth bit idk much about em and theres so many ways to lift these ifs that its crazy to me. The original owner built it for looks it was a mall crawler but for the money i paid for the truck id like to get use out of it besides jist looking good. The front is a lil stiff for my likings tho.

Tough to tell, isn't it? I'm guessing the spindle drop was actually a diff drop and I'm hoping he was correct about the diff bearings and seals which means he has to be 4wd. I could be way off though...

ProComp uses 700# coils I believe which is why it rides rough. Other popular lift coils are between 580 - 620 #/in for the Tacoma. Usually the 700# springs are for people who have plate bumpers and/or winches hanging off the front.

With the Toyota IFS setup, you can't go over 3" of lift without a drop bracket lift (well, you can but you'll just tear up your CV's).

Ok assuming your 4x
You need to level out the CV angles possibly

& with IFS you'll probably have to get a drop bracket to get over 3"

its alot of work to lift IFS as opposed to solid axle

Yea its 4wd, its got aftermarket spindles, diff drop and procomp coil overs and springs in the front. The right side rubs on the sway bar linkage linkage when you turn to the left but what im wondering is how can i go about lifting the front with the existing parts i have or if i can even keep em to lift about 3 more inches and didnt understand why tje diff bearings n seals r already goin out.

Yeah I got ya, & if you're already 3" in front, your maxed as far as what you're running now, like i said earlier , drop bracket will get you to 4", anything over that you'll be looking at (God forbid) body lift...

Ya i jus didnt know if i could go with control arms or spacers on the strut or anything like that on top of what i already and i had wrecked it bout 6 months ago n busted the blocks in the rear and they measured at 2.5 inches in the center of block and it has a aal also n local offroad shop told me that would mean its a 3 inch kit so idk since it was on the truck when i bought it. And ya i def dont really care for a body lift myself, but def gettin some new leaf springs hit 30k n started getting a hard 1st to 2nd and from what ive read is that thhe factory leaf pack gets weak and ccauses axle wrap which causes it to shift like that

to go more than 3" on a 4x4 you will have to start over and get either a procomp or fabtech 6" drop bracket kit.

EDIT: also can you show us pics of your front suspension so we can possibly help you better?

The spindles you are talking about concern me, there aren't many cases of people using an aftermarket spindle on a 3 inch lifted 4x4, this may be the source or your premature wear. If you want to avoid a drop bracket lift, you could get like a 1 inch body lift and stick some 35's under there, you will need to cycle the suspension and get proper clearance but that combination will get you higher up, if you have stock tires now this will net you 3 more inches of lift.

Ya i know 3 inches shouldnt cause it to wear that fast jus wasnt sire if anyone else has had that prob out of there taco, Ill have to take some pics for you guus, yalls help is greatly appreciated. Didnt know if there was a diff in the 3 inch and 6 diff drops. I myself thoight it was kinda weird to have spindles diff drop with as 3 inch lift. It may already be a 6 inch lift, just going by what local shop tolold ke when i had to buy new lift blocks.
