Click/clunk/knock when brakes applied

I have a click/clunk/knock whenever my brakes are lightly applied. Seems like if the the truck is pushed back due to acceleration and then rocked forward by tapping the brakes there is a clunk coming from my front suspension somewhere. I checked lugs, tie rods, and general suspension components and for the life of me can't figure out where it's coming from. Any thoughts?

 

I have the same thing, had it since I bought it and I believe I read somewhere else on here that its just something that happens. Iv put 20k on my baby and it hasn't gotten worse. Hope im not wrong in that its no big deal!

 

take a look at your swaybar, how close is it to your coilover coil seat on both the drivers side and passenger side?

 

Could be the sway bar if the op didn't buy the sway bar relocation mount and could be the upper control arms. Or maybe the leaf springs are are loose in the rear

 

Sway bar is removed. I will ck leafs.

 

How much did you torque your ubolts

 

75 ft lbs, I think. Whatever spec is. I was a while ago. Bit seems like it's come from the front. When I hit speed bumps in the front I get the same click.

 

Front brakes are a floating type so they will click/clunk/knock when they seat themselves.



Could also be:
entire front end




Bushings upper/lower
Ball joints upper/lower
Wheel bearings
Dust shields

 

I had the same issue. The cause...the pins were corroded/bent. So the pads weren't "floating"
