Pro Comp lift

I was calling around for lifts today, specifically for coilovers.

4 Wheel Parts was steering me towards the Procomp K5075B pkg: CTS front coil springs, rear aal, ES6000 series front struts, & ES9000 series rear shocks. They implied they are similar to the coilovers, just not adjustable.

Any drawbacks?

I was thinking about going with a 6" pro comp lift when I first started getting into lifting my truck but got nothing but negative feedback from people so I said F--- IT!!! Went with a 3" toytec lift instead. Loving every minute of it!!!

Im glad you have had some good luck. I know of not one friend of mine that has had them last long, or work well. One of my buddies had a Brand new Pro Crap tire tread separate, and tear up the side of his truck. It was nearly a year before Pro Crap reimbersed him for the damage. A few friends have had their tires last only a few thousand miles before they were destroyed. Their tires dont grip well in any terrain, their MT's chunk horribly on rocks. My $0.02

I appreciate the input on the pro comp. I'm not looking to nickel & dime anything. I'm just really busy & I call around town looking for specific manufactures (toy tec), & nobody carries the good stuff. I'll keep calling.

Hey Chris, is this what you run? Where in Phx did you get it?

Nope. I run OME n140s Soocks in the front with OME 885 springs, and TC UCA's. In the rear, I had a spring shop down town make me an AAL to my specs. and am running Bilstien 5100 rear shocks, wich Im going to swap out for some OME shocks when I get a job.

I'm running the setup they suggested to you but I pretty much got it for looks. I haven't done any offroading with it yet but I don't think it will be too bad. Haven't ran any other brand so I'm not one to judge...I think its better than a spacer lift for about the same price.....IMO
