Will HD bilstien shocks and struts be too much

After much research on this forum I have decided not to put a lift on my 5 lug base model single cab 4 banger(whew, thats a long description of my truck) because simply, its not an off-road truck and it does what I need it to do(small trails for hunting and fishing). I will get a little more aggressive tread tire and upgrade my shocks and struts. I want to put the Bilstien HD's. Can I just slap these on without any issues? Do I have to have some sort of lift, etc.?
