Okay! So I installed 5100 on my '07 DCLB 4x4 and love the transformation. I've always gone for a premium shock replacement on all my rides. But this was my first truck with off-road capabilities. Looking at the rear install, the vinyl bellows (gaiter) is all bunched up and looks like garbage. Stupid me! Climbed underneath and clipped the ziptie and straightened them out. Looking on various Youtube vids I found one where the poster suggested replacing the ziptie after the install. Seems to me that the bellows are snug enough fit at the bottom to keep the majority of crud out of the shaft and seal area w/o the tie. What's the general consensus - fit a new tie or let it be?
