I would have imagined they would have made them to push more out of their own products. Fuck me...

its hard when you use stock mounting points. you are going to either limit up travel or down.

The Offroad springs are different than the Sport springs so they won't look the same. I've not seen a side by side comparison of them but I know they're not the same springs so it shouldn't be surprising that they look different.

    I don't know, I think they're pretty good.

Honestly they're good enough for probably anything I'll ever do. I think if I was a hardcore wheeler I would have noticed it before I had them over a year lol

They could have made them a bit longer, but you go too long and the collapse length becomes an issue. With the collapse length too long you have to run longer bumps which takes from the uptravel.

So yeah you will see guys with more droop, but this doesn't mean they have more suspension travel and thus no more gain in performance. Personally I'm not a fan of running into my bump stops hitting little shit; this doesn't make for a nice ride at all. That said they could have made these shocks about an inch longer to both maximize the droop of the packs yet still keeping the collapse length short enough to utilize the factory bumps.

Basically lots of droop may look impressive, but its really not unless you have relocated the upper shocks mounts to support the longer collapse length shocks.

Looking to get a full OME kit in the next few days
    -Dakars
    -Nitrochargers front/rear
    -881 (maybe 883) coils

My tacoma is a 2004 XtraCab with a manual and 2.7L. Its otherwise stock right now but I do plan on getting a winch and skids. How much lift can I expect? Also, with 883 coils, can I comfortably drive on road without the swaybar?

I have the full OEM kit 884s and Full Dakar leaf pack 2 1/4" in the front and almost 3" in the back after settling. But my leafs were sagging about a 1/2". So it's about a inch higher in the back.
With my trailer or weight in the back it sags about a inch and sits level just what I wanted...

I wish I saw this earlier. Ordered 885s today, but wanted 884s. I thought I would have to much rack with my dakars if I got the 884s. Yours looks good.

Thanks for the response. Truck looks good!

That's pretty much the decision I have to make too. I think the 884 will be my best bet.

FYI, those are not offroad coils. They're from a sport or base model. The top two coils on the OR coils are much thicker and closer together.

Thanks, I like the 884s so far and more lift than I thought I would get.
Perfect lift for me good ride and good handling.

Woohoo my OME setup shipped today. Thanks for all the help everyone. I'm sure I'll have a few more questions before this is all said and done.

Wheelers out of Oregon. It will still take a while to get up to Alaska though. And yes shipping was not cheap.
