    SOS Front Bumper, SOS Sliders, SOS skids, ARB Rear Air Locker, OME Lift (885x Coils, Nitro Charger Shocks, Dakar Leafs), LR UCAs, Leer Shell, OKLED 30" light bar, Wet Okle Seat covers, etc, etc
    Took me and a friend about 4 hours to install full OME lift, Dakars and new UCAs. Neither of us had done one before and we even put the coil seats on upside down. So we had to pull the coil and shock assembly back off reassemble correctly and then reinstall on my truck.

    It's not over complicated...I would do it yourself if you think you can.

    After seeing some you tube videos I feel I can tackle most of the install myself. This would be a feat since I am not very mechanically inclined.

    is there not a difference in weight up front between the pre-runner and the 4x4? enough to make a difference?

    also, from watching the vids way back on page 178, it looks pretty damn simple to do with a ratchet and some wrenches. how simple is changing the UCA's? any special tools needed? how much easier would it be with the shocks/struts pre-assembled?

    i might attempt this, the only problem is i have not garage and it'll probably be -20c :eek:

    There is a huge difference..my 885s and 10mm spacer gave me 25 inches hub to fender of lift up front.. Dakars unloaded was 25 inches hub to fender... loaded bed with roof top tent dropped half inch caused me to be nose high

    ok thanks. i guess with saying that, someone installing the same exact lift as you on a 4x4 may not be nose high. maybe just something people need to consider when comparing end results of others with the same lift.

    Well most of info on this thread is about 4x4s not prerunners was expressing my experience..it also may depend on your leaf springs being... (-), (0), (+) the differences could be slight..not sure though

    i know, regardless it seems most people have different end results depending on a few different things.
    i'm probably going to do the 885's with maybe a 10mm(?) top spacer, dakars with the extended pin in case i need a shim. probably just put it on and troubleshoot from there if i have any vibes.

    Overall its pretty simple. The biggest X factor is if any of your bolts or anything are/is seized.

    Good point....especially if you live in a snow state. I would definitely spray any exposed nut or bolt, that you will be removing, with penetrating lube starting now

    The cold is definitely going to suck... but from what I've been reading, you'll need a torque wrench to get everything tightened right.

    i actually have a torque wrench, i just don't want to have everything ripped apart in the freezing cold and not be able to finish the job.
    how simple is changing the uca's?

    So I've got a 2014 tacoma double cab 4x4. I've got a warm m8000 mounted on a westin sportsmen grill guard. I'm going with the OME setup with an add a leaf. I'm torn on getting the 885 or 886. I'm not looking for 3" of lift I want to stay at 2.5" so I can stay with the stock UCA's. I know for the added weight most say to go with the 886, but I really don't want a real harsh ride. But I don't want to regret getting 885's.
