I think you would be fine with the 885's.

I have the 886's with a plate bumper and I haven't sagged at all at 3inchs of lift. However the ride is somewhat rough. So 885's would give you 2.5" or possibly less with the weight and may yield a smoother ride.

I can only speak from watching videos, but it doesn't seem too complicated. I would say that if I'm willing to tackle it with my little mechanical know how, then it should be doable for most people.

Complete OME Lift w/ 887 and Dakars, Method Mesh rims, Coverking Ballistic seat covers, TRS FXR 3" , DDM fogs (3k), LED map/dome lights, BFG KO2 34/10.5/17, Avid Offroad light bar/sliders/rear bumper guard.
I have been creeping on these forums for a while now and always found answers to my questions without needing to make an account. I finally bought a Full OME Kit on Black Friday weekend from Toytec. They have fantastic customer service and the price was right. I went with the 90021's in front, 887 coils for a full 3" lift (w/ trim packer), 60091 in rear with the CS407R leaf pack, and the FK29 driveshaft spacer. I had them build assemble the front strut/shock assembly because I didn't want to deal with that.

I also went ahead and got Method Mesh (17x8.5) rims as well, still on stock rubber (Bridgestone Dueler 265/65) because I cant justify tires at the moment.

    Before:

    Measurements:
    DF: 20 1/4
    PF: 20 1/4
    DR: 21 1/2
    PR: 21 1/2

    After:
    Measurements:
    DF: 23 1/4
    PF: 23 3/8
    DR: 24 3/4
    PR: 24 3/4

All together took my 6 hours with one other person helping. That was from pulling onto the lift, putting the lift on, an alignment, a wash (cause the wash rack was open... why not?), driving to my house and getting the rims, taking them to Discount Tire to mount and balance. I was very fortunate to have people with knowledge about suspension, a lift rack, and a friend at Discount to help me out.

the hardest part is getting the UCA bolt out. Requires some sheet metal manipulation. A helper makes things easier in getting the bolt back in by keeping everything lined up.

Ok everyone I have a quick question. Right now I'm running a 2" leveling kit I believe (was on the truck when I bought it) I just bought a full ome lift with dakars. Is it possible to run the leveling kit with the lift? For 5 inches of lift in the front. I know I'd have some Cali lean

To add to this, your CV angle would be crazy with a 5" lift on stock components, that is why all of the 4-6" lifts have drop brackets.

Good point, I was talking 4wd only, either way lifts shouldn't be stacked though.

also, its impossible to stack those lifts because the shocks dont have enough down travel to fit 5"

Hey guys...if I just installed my 885's/90021's and the rubber under the top plate is oozing out from the spring pressure should I get an aftermarket one? Does it even make that much of a difference on my height at all?

You should be able to see it here. On top of the I added 1/4" plates on the top and thought from what I read here I should be close to 3". I'm only at 22.25"-22.5" hub to fender.

that's what I was thinking OZ.. but would that cause his issue up top?.. too much pressure pushing up on it?

I'm not completely sure the strut is assembled correctly. Compare:

Look at how the spring rests on the bottom of the spring perch.

With no load on the strut, it shouldn't be under extreme compression to deform the rubber.

    I bounce it offa stuff.
Yeah your bottom spring perch is definately upside down. Should raise the bottom of the coil above the retaining ring on the shock, not drop the spring below the ring.

Yeah I noticed that and had the guys fix it. But the rubber is still getting pinched. The pic you have of them assembled isn't the factory rubber and top hat. That looks like it came pre assembled.
