I installed a OME lift about 2 weeks ago and so far so good for the most part. I went with 886's up front with toytec add a leaf in back. I probably would have never noticed it but I read on here about people getting driveline vibrations so of course that's all I could think about on my test drive. After the truck had been aligned I really didn't feel anything but of course it was still on my mind. Started riding with the radio off and thought I might feel a small vibration at 20 mph. I ended up putting a 1/8" space on the carrier bearing and drove it again...really didn't notice anything. But of course my OCD kept listening and feeling for it. Mainly on deceleration rather braking or not I feel a little vibe. Can't tell where it's coming from. Maybe right front maybe driveline? Very light and I have to be concentrating on it. Everything is tight and the alignment shop torqued everything also. Anyone feel that this could be an issue?

Jwbfx4. I have a slight vibe when I hit 5 mph, but that is it. If I hadn't read that our trucks can get these I doubt I would have ever noticed it. I have to be concentrating on it to notice it. I have a CB drop kit, but haven't installed it. I may later if i change from 885 to 887 coils or add front spacers. Otherwise it doesn't bother me.

Ya, but I have the same. Short vibration on acceleration around 5-8 that only started after the tsb for... Get this... The driveline vibration. I think that's common though. Anyway, I only have 5100s on the front and tsb aal.

This thread helped me a ton deciding on my lift. Figured I'd throw mine up. Maybe it'll be useful to someone. Bilstein 5100's front and rear, OME 884x's, wheelers progressive AAL (left overload in), 1/4" driver side spacer, LT 265/75/16C toyo open country AT2s. Got right at 2" all around. No vibes. Alignment is good. Rides great.

How is it on bumpy roads? I'm sold on the 884s but can't decide on which shocks. OME or 5100s

Roads are mostly tar and chip here. Rides amazing. So muck better than stock. Can't speak for the OME shocks but I'm loving the billies

I just read from page 210 to 311 and now I am more confused on what I want. I have a '14 DCSB OR. it's my DD with a combination of city and highway. It will only be off-road at camp on some trails. I tow a pop-up camper with it and I have already added 265/75/16 duraTracs. I am considering a small lift for a nicer ride and to not have my tires look so stuffed. I really want to keep it a smooth ride so I am undecided on 1. 884s with either OEM or 5100s and an AAL or 2. Just putting 5100s on all 4 with the fronts at .85 or 1.75.

Any thoughts on what would be the best ride for my usage? Thanks

You guys probably heard this a million times. However, still throwing it up there.
I just put OME Dakars with 2.5 kings in the rear. I have 2.5 Icon extended travel w/ TC UCA in the front. But my front is sitting about 2in lower than the rear. What do i need to make it level? I heard get longer springs in the front. If I got kings 2.5 extended travel in the front would it be level? or would i have to get 14in springs?

Just had my OME lift installed, here's some before and after pic for anyone curious/interested. (Not the best angle on the before pic, almost looks like the same height as the after).

I installed the OME kit from wheels with 885 & 90021 on the front (no top plate space) and the wheelers progressive AAL & 60091 on the back (no over load spring).

Enjoy the rake or remove a spring from the Dakars. You can make sure you have your Icon's set at 23" Hub to fender, adjust if needed. You can only raise the front 3" before you create CV issues, Changing from Icon to King will do nothing. Changing to a 14"
spring will only lessen your preload, and I don't believe you'll find a 14" that is under 700lb spring rate.

I want to mod my '15 access cab off road for overland/expo use. My hidden front receiver hitch and alum skids weigh just about 150#. I want 1.5"/2" up front and a similar lift out back, with a close but not-quite-stock cushy ride. After many hours of thread reading, I'm thinking OME Nitro 9000s with 883 or 884 coils up front, and Dakar w/o 3rd leaf and Nitros out back. Am I close here? 883 or 884?

With the weight up front 884's would probably net you closer to 1.5-1.75 from my research. The 883's would be on the lower end of your expectations without the additional weight.

Front bilstein 5100 with OME 884 w/trim pack, 17" fuel trophy wheels wrapped with 32" toyot open country m/t, bakflip fibermax tonneau cover, Avec 30" led light bar behind lower grille, marathon seat covers in max 5 camo pattern, trimmed front and rear mud flaps, more to come.
I'm looking into getting an ome setup to get 3" of lift. I have billy 5100s right now set at 1.75. When I had them set at 2.5 I had pretty bad bump steer. I still have a little bit nowhere near as bad as before. I guess I am one of the unlucky ones to get bump steer with such little lift. I would like to keep the 5100 up front and match Billy's in the back. What would be some suggestions on aal, spacers up front, sway bar extension. I would like to keep factory ride ( I know I will lose some having a lift). I understand I will have to get UCA to which would prolly help me out right now having the slight bump steer I have now. It's within specs I believe. Could it just be that the tacomas like to follow the road or something? If I remember correctly it also had a little bump steer before the leveling kit and tires. But I cant remember
