Who is RCD? Have they been around working on other off road products. I wonder how their price will compare to Fabtech or Procomp db lifts.

With the rumors about Fabtech maybe RCD will succeed in the Tacoma market.

With this lift is there an option to do an AAL instead of blocks?

You might be able to do a shorter block and an AAL, but to get the height out of the rear with just an AAL will be a little tough unless you went to a complete new spring pack....

aal and a shackle flip kit would probably work pretty awesome

RCD has been making high quality American made lift kits for many years. Even though we sometimes compete with them I have always recommended customers to them for higher lift height applications. We currently offer our coil-overs for their Tundra and F150 kits. We will be offering our 2.5" diameter adjustable coil-overs for the Tacoma kit as well. This will give you a great performance option upgrade from the Bilsteins. Our coil-overs are built from the ground up specifically for this kit and are not an off the shelf shock that is made to fit. Many of the Tundra owners have been using a custom Deaver Spring pack in the rear instead of the block and Deaver can do the same for the Tacoma This kit is a great alternative to the inferior Chinese made kits that seem to be everywhere.

Because with the 4.5" kit you wont have to cut your frame to make it work.

yes u do. all drop bracket lifts u need to cut so the front drive shaft has room to lower with the front diff. unless u have a 2 wheel drive.. waste of money basically u get less lift for same price.

You are correct. My bad. I failed to go back and look at the full post. I forgot this RCD lift used the drop bracket. I take back my comment and agree with your initial statement. If your cutting anyway you may as well go 6 inches.

I originally wanted this lift and ended up going with the Camburg Coilover instead that allowed me to crank it up to 4 inches anyway.

Maybe thats why it floats all over the road like a butterfly?

j/k , It has a slight angle on the CV joints but it really isnt that bad.

But, It does look good either way.

If I were to do a full leaf pack instead of a block, how much lift would be needed to get a level look? I know it comes with a 4" block but it looks like Peejay's truck is higher in the back.

How much lift are you actually getting in the front? Its got to be around 5" or so, right?

all drop bracket lifts are good cv angles. but your payinging same amount for 4.5" that u would pay for 6" and same amount of work. doesnt make sence but if u like to pay more for less thats cool to each there own.
