Okay, after hours upon hours of combing threads, I feel like I know less than when I started...which is bad.
The problem is that I want to install my winch on my truck and lift my truck all within my $1000 budget. After reading, I can't just buy a bumper and mount it. Apparently, my tacoma's stock suspension won't handle the extra weight without riding like crap.... I also want to lift my truck around 2.5" (I don't want to mess with the diff drop or UCA's, so no higher than 2.5").
1. Why the crap will my Tacoma's suspension not handle the extra weight, but my old Chevy S10 Zr2 handled it just fine mounted to a Warn Trans4mer bumper? I put 100K miles on that truck's stock suspension with the winch mounted.
2. Will the $650 Billie package with the Eibach springs from Toy Tec handle a winch? If so, I could get ~ 2.5" in the front AND be able to mount my winch for around $1000. Here's that package: http://www.toyteclifts.com/index.php...mart&Itemid=72
