Pro comp lift kit

I'm soon going to purchase the procomp 3 inch suspension lift kit. I plan on running bfgs all terrain, with an 18x9 inch wheel. The offset is -12 and the backspace is 4.50". Would this bigger rim make it scrub even more than say a 17" rim? I know I'm going to have to do a little bit of trimming as it is, but will the bigger rim make it even worse? Any and all input would be great!

Honestly i would rethink about going pro comp. If i were you i would look into the toytec lifts with Old man emu.


Pro comp + 4wheelparts = Crappy product.

I'm not the biggest fan of the Pro Comp lift neither and my friend actually has that same lift on his truck and he's gotten about 60K miles but he def has to replace his shocks cause they are riding like crap now. He is going with 5100's next.

I have 285's on 18x9's and you will def have to do some trimming. You might even want to look into getting some aftermarket UCA's as well.

 

I've got a little over 55k on my Procomp lift now. No issues and rides just fine. Maybe I got lucky, but for the money I think it's a great lift.

 

procomp shocks suck billy's are the way to go for sure I had procomps on my 82' yota with ome leafs all the way around good god it was stiff than I went with a complete trailgear 4" lift kit that came with 14' billy my 82' rides like my 13' tacoma

 

if ya want a good 3" lift kits spend the money either get 5100's or a complete ome lift kit you'll be happy

 

I've had the procomp lift, wasn't bad. did ride hard until I got some armor ( the front coils have high spring rates. ) The rear shocks actually had more travel than the King OE series shocks. And the kit ran a AAL in the back so it wasn't bad. With my 285/70/17's on my methods ( i believe 4.5 bs )I had no rub on the street. But off road I would hit the body mount and the fender liners.
