Hello this is my first tacoma and never had lifted a vehicle before so I have some questions. First I have a 2005 tacoma quad can trd sport 4x4. I am not looking for an extremely expensive lift or something difficult to install for I would be doing it myself . I was looking into above coil spacers but after reading people have alot of cons that have steered me away from that idea and then I read about blistein 5100 shocks? I would like a 2 Inch lift but not sure how those shocks work would I need an aftermarket coil as well to go over the shock? This seems like still an economic option for my budget and it would be better quality then just putting a spacers in. If so would I just buy 2'' blistein 5100 shocks and 2'' aftermarket coil for it and that's all I would need for the front? Also with a 2'' lift would I need a diff drop kit which I have heard some people talk about for tacomas with lifts? The back I think I'm just going to get a bigger leaf spring kit to raise it 2'' would this work? I also am wondering max tire size with a 2'' lift without modding too much? Of anyone has any knowledge on these 5100 shocks and how they work any of my questions I would appreciate you commenting on that. Also forgot to mention I might take it through some trails but nothing serious off road. Thanks in advance!

Get the toytec 5100 lift or call dsm and order from them... 5100 lifts are cheap and you cab adjust them to how you like. Order an AAL for the rear and you'll be fine. The 5100s will come with springs. Tires are gonna be 265/70/17 without trimming. Or do a cmc and trim and get 285/70/17

    enough to go over stuff
I did 5100's on the front at 1.75 with the stock coils and 4 leafs in the back. I now sit level and about 2 inches higher. I put 265/70/17 tires on. I had to remove the front mud flaps to fit them.

You need 5100s rear and an AAL. Id get wheelers 1.5 inch 3 leaf progressive AAL. The cmc will cut away your body mounts in the wheel well in the front of your truck.. doesn't damage it.

Also mademan972 that is probably what I will have to do as well I'm thinking just 2 inch shocks in front and either add leafs to get 2 Inches or get a whole new leaf kit. I have 265/70/r17 on right now they came with the truck on the stock toyota rims and they didn't need to remove mud flaps I still have mine, wanted to go size taller if I could

You have a camper shell by the pics I see, you may not get a full 2 inches out of an AAL, best to contact the vendor you are interested in prior to buying

Ok those are the exact tire dimensions I have now and they are perfect thought maybe I would be safe with one size bigger like 270/70 but that's alright I can just get a more aggressive looking tire to fill it out more
