So i am new to this forum and i am looking at lifting my truck. I would like to go with 17x9 Dick Cepek DC-2 Rims with 4.5" BS? And a 3 inch lift. What is the biggest tires i can fit without having to trim anything?

    Specs:
    2006 Toyota Tacoma V6 SR5 4x4 4.0L Double Cab Long Bed

    1) Dick Cepek DC-2 Rims, 4.5 BS
    2) Tuff Country 3" Suspension Lift

    3) Preferably Nitto Trail Grapplers. I want to stick around the same width of tire as 265/75/R16(what i have on stock truck now)

    Thanks Guys

265/70/17. If you'd go with a 285 width tire you'd need to do trimming.

Dang. The 285/70/R17's are a little bit skinnier than 265/75/R16's right? I dont really want skinny tires ya know?

    A 285 tire is wider than a 265 tire.

A 265/70/17 would be pretty much the same overall size as the 265/75/16 you have now, just a little less sidewall since the difference is made up by the larger wheel.

Your going to hear this from most people on here but if you can try and stay away from spacer lifts. Full suspension lifts is what you will want in the long run even if you dont off-road a lot. Its def worth it to save up the extra money and go that route. You can go with 285's but you will need to remove the front mud flaps and do some minor trimming, nothing a small dremel cant fix.

Dang man, i'll prolly just do that. Im thinking just forget doing the spacer lift, and save up for the 6" full suspension lift, what i originally wanted.

I mean a lot of people on spacer lifts but I hear more bad reviews on them then good reviews and I know some people that went from a spacer lift to a suspension lift and they said its a night and day difference.
