rough country 3 inch lift

Does anyone have any of this lift kit?

would it work fine for someone like me, who is on the highway about 95% of the time, and only off road i see is pulling in my bumpy ass driveway at work, and when i go up north to canada and have to drive about 20 miles up a bumpy, snow covered road with a bunch of frost heaves and about 650-800 pounds of hitch weight from the trailer behind me???

if i did do any offroading it would be very minor/little as i dont know of many/any area here in the western ny area....

I have it. Do I recommend it? Absolutely not.

Buy a set of adjustable bilstein 5100 shocks, extended shocks for the rear, and an add a leaf.

Strut extenders suck. They are bad for your struts and just give a crappy ride. The blocks in the rear also give a crap ride. The shocks in the kit for the rear aren't terrible. Mine has been making a terrible clanking noise in the rear lately and I haven't wanted to figure out what it was. If you get bilsteins all around (front adjustable) and add a leafs, you will be able to stay pretty close to the same cost of that kit. I got that kit because I have no money, and I wish I would have researched a little more on here first.

im working on a limited budget, trying to do a small lift with some duratracs, so looking like then im going to have to go 5100's with ome 884's, and a rear aal, and toss on some 265/75/16 duratracs, kinda puts me over budget, but thats nothing new, lol

I got duratracs a little over a year ago and love them. I'm gonna upgrade to 5100s with 885 coils and an aal in the rear. Just haven't had the funds to spend on my truck much lately.

its either 884 or 885, i have the double cab and read to do 884 or some say do 885 because of me being a double cab, and yet, downsouth says 884 do 2 inch lift, and toytec says for me to do 885??? which is it, lol and far as my stock bf goodrich's with the rugged trail, I HATE THESE TIRES!!!! fricken suck in any snow we get here

that will give 3" of lift? or 2.5"? i'm looking to go 3", but with this setup your recommending how big of tires can you run? and can the 5100's, 885 coils, and the aal all be purchased from the same website? (if you're even looking at them on a particular website)

Never get a spacer lift that goes above the strut. That how you snap your shock mount.. If your going spacer lift make sure its a preload spacer.

5100 struts in the front on stock coils or ome or eibachs, progressive heavy duty aal in the rear, and either 5100 shocks in the rear or really any brand of extended shocks. i like rough country and pro comp for the rear cuz they're cheaper than 5100 shocks and ride great imho. U can buy all these things at www.wheelersoffroad.com they have good prices and have great customer service. Ask around TW about em

I've been looking into a small, affordable lift for my prerunner since I can't afford spindles and everything at the moment. Would I be able to clear 33s with this combination? Probably just minor trimming?

I have this kit installed on mine. its probably not the best choice of lift for that price. but for daily driving, with the odd off roading down some bumpy snowmobile trails and small mud pits in the local area. It seems to work fine for me for right now. I'm also running 285/70/17 and had to trim a bit of the bumper at a 45 angle. they rub on the cab mount too but only in reverse and at full turn some how.
