new toytec springs wont fit help

    My friend has a 2000 4runner with bilstein all around
    he just ordered the toytec TTAFCS-CK95 Front adjustable coil over kit for Bilstein 5100's
    we got the drivers side torn apart and were ready to reasemble the new coil onto the old shock and the lower adjusting sleeve will not fit over the shock body anybody got any ides on what going on here
    he bought the shocks about a year ago and was told they were 5100s
    the only #on them is F4-BE5-D558-TO
    but if these are 1st gen 5100s could that be why this new coil over wont fit
