Does anyone know why my ABS light and Traction Control light would be on after putting a leveling kit on? Any help would be great. Thanks

Mine has done this after every lift, and after every lift, either disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes, or an alignment will fix the issue.

I tried disconnecting the battery and the lights are still on. I will try an alignment next. Thanks for the help.

Did the alignment work? Toyota wants $149 to diagnose the lights. Im waiting for them to finish the alignment right now.

I assume you disconnected the spindle from the UCA and installed the shock from "above", as opposed to dropping the LCA away and installing from "below".

If you were not careful when disconnecting the spindle from the UCA (allowed the spindle to swing away), you may have damaged the ABS wires or the plug. Inspect the ABS plug and wiring to see if there is obvious damage. I know @Ayeele had a similar issue when installing his King shocks. If memory serves me right, it was about $500 to fix the harness.

I damaged an abs cable doing a lift once. The cables were about $50 per side. It was an easy fix. I knew at the time I pulled one a little tight by forgetting to remove the bracket before dropping the spindle. Not much else that can go wrong there, that cable or the sensor itself, which was about $25 for after market.

I dont see what an alignment would have to do with this unless the tech accidentally bumps whatever is actually wrong.

Yep. I paid 500 for that abs plug/harness, recalibration, and labor

We were careful with the wires. Even used bungies to hold the spindle assembly (callipers, rotors, hub, etc.) close to the car and not let it swing. Could still of course have damaged something. I I have an OBD reader that links to AutoDoctor and can't seem to wipe the code either.

Did you need to diagnos? If so, how did you know if it was cables or sensor?

I replaced the sensors first as they were cheaper, then bought a cable and guessed the correct side as I knew I was a little rougher on that side. There is no calibration or anything its just a sensor and a cable. I think maybe you have to disconnect the battery or something after but that was it. I bought the oem toyota cable and the aftermarket sensors on Amazon iirc.
