What's going on everybody, I'm a new member and have a question regarding a suspension lift for my '13 DC 4x4 Off-Road Taco.
Can you run the ICON 56503 2" VS Series Emulsion Shock Set with the All-Pro Standard Duty Leaf Springs for the rear? I ask because this is the set up I was thinking about going with but I read straight from the Icon website:
"This V.S. Series 2.0 Aluminum Smooth Body Shock Part #56503 fits the rear of a Toyota Tacoma truck with 0-2.5" of lift." Or do I have to run ICON 57805 2.5" VS Series Remote Reservoir Shock Set? And I know that the All-Pro leaf springs give you a 3" lift. Any input would help, thank you.

They're not long enough for those leafs......DSM can customize them with a 1" longer rod end so they'll get closer but not perfect!

Hey sublime, you seem like you really know your stuff. Let me get your opinion about the lift I wanna run on my Taco. Now I've been doing a lot of research (thanks TW). It'll be my DD, and I would be doing some off-roading, maybe 2-3 times a month.
    Ok here you go,

    Front:
ICON Extended Travel C/O (58635) set to 2.5"
    Light Racing UCA's (25470)

    Rear:
    All-Pro 3" Standard Leaf pack (4505T-AP-KT-3)
Fox 10" Remote Reservoir Stem Mount Shock (Don't have a part #, I think these are available only through All-Pro)
    And possibly the Timbren bumpstops

Now have you seen anyone run ICON up front and Fox in the rear? I just don't wanna deal with the hassle of having DSM custom making me rear ICON shocks, plus All-Pro includes the Fox's in their rear lift package. Now I haven't decided on tires yet, but I was thinking either 265/75/16 or 275's. I want to stay away from rubbing and trimming.

    Thanks

I think that's a good package but the rear AP fox's may be short on compression which is why they use the timbrens to shorten the bump travel......I'd ditch the timbrens (really only good for towing support) and get the correct length shocks. I know it seems like a pain in the ass but you'll still be saving money. They're charging $700 for shocks and $195 for timbrens.

DSM's a GREAT vendor and will hook you up with a package, valve the shocks how you want and then just get the springs from AP! A lot of guys like their slow speed valving for DD and ask for a flutter stack on the rear shocks if you're going Fox (I think Icon already has a flutter stack in theirs). It's smoother through the low speed compression but has enough high speed compression to handle the big stuff too!

    Enjoy man!

EDIT: Don't forget about Icons new CDC adjustable clickers. They can put these on coilovers and rear shocks. I've been following them on their website and they're so easy to adjust for any terrain with a click of the button.....similar to the adjustable fox's but a better design!

Right on. I just emailed All-Pro and asked about the rear Fox's, we'll see what they say. And I'm gonna contact DSM today and see how much it'll run for a custom set of rear shocks.

    Thanks
