Lifting truck - do I need tires/rims?

I did a quick search and didn't find anything.

I am going to probably go with the Toytec Ultimate Lift Kit and some TC UCAs. Do I need rims and tires? I really like the looks of the OE rims and can't justify replacing the tires just yet (1600 miles on them).

Any input is greatly appreciated.

 

You don't need them but your truck might look funny with a big lift and little pizza cutter tires.

 

You will need wheel spacers to run your stock wheels. Look into Spidertraxx spacers 1.25"

 

Ditto... You can run 285's on the stock rims. Take your wheels to a wheel and tire place and see what they'll credit you for the tires. I got 400 bucks credit when I "convinced" discount tire co. to take my old tires for a new set of 4.
